WELCOME/FOREWORD

This blog shares a research project entitled “What influences the Melbourne community’s ability to garden for self-sufficiency in a sustainable manner?”, which I conducted in the second semester of 2008 during my RMIT Environmental Social Science degree. Many participants at the forefront of sustainable, self-sufficiency gardening solutions participated in the research and it is hoped that it contributes further understanding to an important aspect of local community food security.

The research project can be accessed through the pages on the right. New posts will continue to explore gardening for community food security and develop into an educational resource with links to a myriad of information.
