Hot Days push water use up -ABC

nc_watermisers_detail3article from ABC…..A string of hot days in Melbourne has been blamed for a big increase in water use. Household consumption has risen to 188 litres per person per day, the highest figure since the State Government’s Target 155 campaign began.

Melbourne Water’s Supply Manager John Woodland says the high use is putting more and more pressure on the city’s water supplies.

“Storages are at their lowest level since the Thompson was built back in 1984, ” he said….

* The article also claims that some people are using every minute during the legal garden watering times and overwatering….
